THE SWANSON RESTAURANT

A historic home located in Perry, Georgia. In 1790 the structure was begun as a livery stable. In 1880 three rooms were added. In 1920 more rooms were added and the architecture remains much like it does today. In 2002 Kim and Mike Sheridan purchased the home and began a restaurant. The Swanson is known for its Southern home-style cooking served in a casual antebellum atmosphere with Southern hospitality.

THE NEW PERRY HOTEL

This historic hotel is located in Perry, Georgia. There has been a hotel on this site since approximately 1831. The origins of the first Perry Hotel is nearly as old as the town itself [1831-1834]. The present New Perry Hotel, which I have had the pleasure of painting, was constructed in 1924. The New Perry Hotel is Southern hospitality and ambiance at its best.
